"I'm a City Mouse who enjoys photographing the outdoors. Unfortunately, the outdoors gets very cold in Colorado and photographers stand still for extended periods of time. I bought these boots after extensive research and the recommendation of a friend who hunts. My feet were warm and comfortable the whole time I wore these boots (hours and hours). I walked a good five miles in them the first time out and didn't have a single blister or sore spot. They were less expensive than the other boots I looked at - several of the other boots were over $100. I took one of the other review's advice and went a size big - I wanted to have room for thick socks. I highly recommend them!"

"Absolutely the best investment I've ever made as far as apparel goes. These boots with wool socks or normal cotton socks keep my feet toasty in one of the most frigid places on earth, with temperatures dipping this year down to -67 with the wind chill. The boot is also very comfortable, slips on easy, stays tied and keeps its new appearance no matter how much snow I trudge in!!"

"I purchased these boots as I may be relocating to Alaska atleast for a couple of years and know it gets wicked cold up there. Having grown up in Minnesota, I am familar with cold but now being in the Carolinas, I've become a bit of a wimp to the weather.
I would recommend that you order 1 size larger than you would normally wear. I usually ware a 7 and I ordered it but sent it back to get the 8. With a normal sox, it was not really enough room to be comfortable. The 8's will allow for a little bit thicker sox if needed."

"I purchased these boots for my wife who always has cold feet. While she has other boots that are similarly rated to withstand cold, they never seem to do the trick. These boots are well constructed of quality materials with function in mind. The insulated insert with the foot warmer pocket is great. "my husband bought these for me as I am always complaining my feet get cold.. I love them . I ordered my regular size as there was not a half size and they are fine .. I had foot surgery a year ago and my foot is sensitive.. I have no problem walking in these . They keep my feet warm and dry .. "I would definitely recommend the use of these boots for hunting in cold weather. They are extremely warm, even for feet with poor circulation like mine. I can put my feet in cold, and within a matter of minutes they are roasty-toasty. I would prefer not to wear them for long hikes, but for sitting long periods on hunts, they are wonderful.
