"This kit is great! I installed it on My Remington 700 30-06 With an H-S Precision Black Stock. The fit is great nice and tight. It looks factory! It rubbed on the bolt very slightly, took it to the range and it went away on its own, now its just as smoth as it was from the factory I loaded it all the way with 10rounds and it fed perfectly. Not once did it ever jam. It gets lots of attention at the range and it was a lot cheaper than other DM setups. I will also be using one on my Remington 700P 300 Winchester. It is too bad that they dont make this for the short action or else I would buy it as well for my other Remington's. Overall I would recommend this product."

"I am quite happy with this product. Works well with my .300 Win Mag. All that that was needed was a little adjustment to the stock and it fit perfectly. The 3 rd magazine fits well, but the 8 rd mag is a little loose, but seats well and doesn't fall out, which is good enough. Also, magazines must be loaded more like a pistol magazine than a normal rifle magazine, but this does not interfere with the feeding of the round. Overall, very pleased."

"I am very pleased with the kit. It fit my 700 action with only a little adjustment to the bolt release. I do think that Cabelas should include both mags though. I had to order the 10 rd mag seperately since it wasn't explained what the kit included."

"I purchased the Kwik Klip Kit (come with a 4-round magazine) and two (2) 10-round magazines. I run a Remington Sendero 700 in a 7mag, synthetic stock.
My 1st complaint – the small print, not in the add: The stated amount of rounds that the magazine(s) will hold is inaccurate in the add. The package states that the 10-round magazine will only hold 8 rounds if you are using a magnum round, the 4 round will only hold 3. Ok, logical for a “universal” system but in fact the 10-round will actually only hold 7 rounds of my 7-mag. They could, at least, state this in the add.
The installation: I had to spend about an hour “smithing” my gun. Some minor fitting issues, not much of a problem. I was happy to see that the base went in like a charm.
The excitement: I loaded the 10-round (um, ok the 7-round) magazine with all 7 rounds. I cycled the rifle and it fed the first 5-rounds fairly clean and then…
The disappointment: the last two hung-up/would not feed cleanly. So, to check things, I did it again, same result. I loaded the 2nd 10-round magazine – same result. The 4-round mag – same result on the last round.
The diagnosis: I will be blunt – they got cheap on the spring. I took apart the clip (I know, I just voided my warranty). I am working with a friend, who owns a high-tech machine shop, to solve both the spring issue (he can make these) and the nose-diving issue (described in other reviews-very true).
The result: Nothing yet… but Kwik Klip may have made a competitor out of me. The fact that they have a Universal system (good idea) but cant machine the two primary parts to come together smoothly (base and clip) so that they rattle against each other when you walk or even swing around? And then they don’t offer the obvious solution to the nose-diving problem (if you are reading this Mr. Kwik Klip, you know what the answer is too) and then to get cheap on the quality of the spring?
In business, Mr. Kwik Klip, you always have to be moving forward, otherwise you get run over by guys like me.

"minor inletting to fit my .270 cal quik clip, bought 10rd and 4 rd clips, both fit and functioned well. Recommended to another hunter to switch from his old BDL floor plate to the new Cabela's quik clip. This makes it easier to load and remove ammo when hunting from one area to another. Great price when compared to other aftermarket conversions."

"This was a good idea but didn't work out for me. I tried to install on a new Remington 700 Classic in .264 Win Mag and discovered that the bolt release was an integral part of the factory trigger guard assembly. It would have worked but would have left me with no bolt release.
I returned the product with no hassles to my local store."

"Bought one, and it took me a while to get it to fit (lot of filing)..... But, finally got it in, and made sure it was a snug fit.
The mags 4, and 10rd, load easily, and empty easily, if I had one thing I would do to make this better, it would be to have a tighter fit of the follower inside the mag body....... It at times has a tendency to nose dive when loading to max limit on the 10rd, (using it for 7RM), maybe a stronger spring would cure this issue on the 10rd.
Outside of this, it fed flawlessly, and for the money there's nothing close to it available for those who want more capacity, and do not want to spend $250.00 for it.
Sure wish it was offered for SHORT action calibers like the .308 Win."

"This appeared to be a great add on to my rifle, I was sorely mistaken. Bolt wouldn't open or close after install. Manufacturer was no help and told me to just return it. This item is specified to work with 300 win mag, but 180gr and 190gr factory ammo is to long for the magazine. Manufacturer says only certain lengths will work. Mags are extremely loose and ratle badly. So instead of lengthening the mag to fit the ammo and tighten up the loose mag, they would rather have you return the item. Great idea, very poor engineering."

"although i havent installed it yet, i have noticed it is well made, constructed. it releases easily and cleanly. i would like the release lever to be a little bigger however. also, the clips seem to have a bit of up and down play, rattle that could be eliminated with some foam tape but shouldnt have to any way. what i should have done in hindsight[?] is to see if a remington 700 parts with d/m would fit in this model first. happy with purchase!!!"

"Used with a Remington 700 7mm Remington Mag When installed without the supplied shims the 3 round clip drug against the bolt. Once the shims were installed the 8 round mag didn't seat high enough to catch the bullet and chamber. 3 round clip fit into the base far better then the 8 round purchased separately but both felt loose. Being as I didn't want to ruin my bolt, nor have feeding/reliability issues, I returned the product. KUDOS to Cabelas for a smooth return though."

"Simple to install. Did not require any type of alterations. I did a stock conversion and the baseplate clip install at the same time. If your using a baseplate and want to convert, this is the real deal.
