September 24, 2007
By gonfishnfrom Cal.
"I really enjoy this fish finder, I got it with the added speed & it comes with water temp. so it's a real nice fish finder for the money & I'd buy another one if I ever sold my boat & got another one without a fish finder in it"

Unit stops reading bottom,
July 2, 2007
By DevilLakeFishermanfrom Pennsylvania
"This unit is a nice compact fishfinder with good resolution - The unit displays great bait and fish readings up to a depth of 105 feet (deepest water probed). The screen lost all bottom readings without warning or any user intervention four times in three days-(random failures). Auto mode was used and when it failed the depth display portion of the screen flashed random generated numbers without any bottom readings. Depth varied at times of failures. No weeds or trash were on the transducer. Only going into the menu and selecting manual ranges and scrolling through options seemed to restore the units ability to again read depth and fish/bait signals. Turning the unit off and waiting awile had no effect on restoration of function. Good unit if it doesn't keep having these failures. Canadian fishing was terrific otherwise!"

"I own a 22' fishing pontoon with a Lowrance Depth finder on the TM and one on the dash. De sited to buy a 535 humminbird for the back, for wife, due to it different frequency signal. Bad Bad idea! I can not after hours of trying, turning off all other units, adjusting, adjusting, to get the unit's screen to clear up, bad bad bad picture. Humminbird will not answer my e-mail. Compared to equally priced Lowrance, its very poor!!!!!"

Works well...as long as it's functioning properly.,
June 11, 2007
By MackManfrom Greenacres, WA
"This 535 works well when it is working properly. Humminbird has attempted to repair my unit, at no charge even though it was out of warranty, 3 times since September 2006 with limited success. It now has a hard time to lock onto the bottom when powered on in deep water. My 535 did show fish, speed and depth well before it failed in September 2006."

Great Fish Finder,
November 20, 2006
By JoeGoFishfrom Mission Viejo, CA
"I use this little fish finder in my car top boat. I rigged it up to be completely portable, down to the transducer and it works like a charm. It's loaded with features that you pay a lot more for with other brands. Humminbird is a great brand you can trust."
