"I would love to rate this product with 5 stars, but after i used my boat 3 times the label bubbled and caused the needle to get stuck.I had to seperate it and fix it with glue. Poorly made product, but a MUST HAVE."

Two Battery & One Battery Guages,

"I've used a "two battery" guage in my boat for 9 years. It has worked great and I consider it one of the most important add-ons to my power system. It took a little time to install as I had to cut through an aluminum panel to make the mounting hole. The wiring hookup was simple and straight forward. I hooked mine to the battery isolator's switch positions 1 & 2 so I can check the condition of the batteries any time, even when the isolator switch is in the "off" position. I bought a "one battery" guage for our cabin. But... my brother was so impressed with it that it became a much used battery checker in his garage. So... I bought another one for the cabin. This is one of those items that fits in my category of "Can't live without". You don't want to get caught on the ocean with no way to start your engines. These relatively inexpensive instruments allow you to easily monitor your battery's charge level and condition to avoid any problems. I'd recommend them to anyone."

"This gauge was easy to install and works fine.
I use it on my camper to let me know when the battery is being charged by the truck and to see the condishion of the battery. One thing, when ordering the gauge it should have listed the need for a switch that is required for installation of the gauge.

"This is a great item! I purchased the 4-battery version. Really comes in handy to know what kind of charge the 3 batteries in my boat have before I head to the launch.
Be aware, this item only has short wire leads. You will need to purchase wire and splices to tie to the batteries.
As mentioned, the installation was fairly easy. It does come with a template, because you will need to cut out a decent size hole to mount the item.
Another thing to note. I tried it on some different style batteries. If strictly a deep-cycle, it will show a 100% charge. If it is a dual-purpose, after doing a small initial draw after charging, I am showing 80%. On strictly a cranking battery after doing a small initial draw after charging, I am showing 60%. The unit is not faulty, it just appears to be calibrated to show a 100% charge on a strictly deep-cycle battery.
As others have stated, the face is made out of a cheap plastic. I scuffed it right after I mounted it when I tried to wipe it with a 100% cotton shirt. Also, the solder job was very poor. 2 of the wires had strands that were not soldered well, and were shorting out to other leads. Simple fix, but should not have had to do it on a brand new item. If it wasn't for these things, I would have given it 5 stars."

"I have the hand held unit and love it. Everytime after fishing I check the batteries and it gives me a good idea of how long to charge. I also always put it on the batteries before we go fishing. One time I left the main power switch on and it saved me from going to the lake with a dead battery. If I would loose this, I would buy another one."

"Thought it would be nice to know how much charge is left this fishing season so I bought the handheld gauge. I put it on my bad battery with 5.4 volts and it read 40%. Bought a brand new battery and charged it until charger showed full. Took it down from "peak" by turning on lights for a several seconds as the instructions say to do and tried meter again. Shows 60%. Tried it on my fully charged car battery and it shows 60%. Will be first product I send back to Cabela's but I am willing to try another."

"So far I am very pleased with the battery gauges. Not that difficult to install. Looks cool and appears to display the true amount of juice remaining in the batteries. As others have mentioned I would like to see the gauge face made out of glass instead of easily scratchable plastic."
