"The price and style of the boot is what I was looking for. I am a little dissappointed that the boot does not have a slightly thicker sole, and it seems to need another set of eyes at the top of the boot to provide more ankle support."

"I was in Boise, Id. last year and visited Cabela's there for a couple of day. I'm glad I was able to try on these shoes and didn't order them from a catalog since they ran about 1 size too large for me and I would have ended up sending them back. These shoes have been very comfortable for me and I wear them often. However, the soles have worn very quickly and I'm already in need of a new pair. I'd like to buy another pair of these but the price keeps going up!"

"The only reason that I did not give it a 5 Star rating is that I wish the shoe had come in size 7.5 instead of the smallest size being 8. Usually I can get away with an 8 but these seem to be a "bigger" 8 than what I have encountered. Since I use them for standing around a telescope on cold evenings, I wear thick socks and I find that the boots are comfortable and have great arch support. If Cabela's ever carries the shoe in size 7.5 I will probably order another pair which I would then use for walking. The product is really a great one."

"I remebered wearing the same kind of boots when I was younger and how comfortable they were. So I decided to buy them. When they came, I tried them on and discovered that they were a little wide in the foot. Order narrow size! Since I purchased them, I have worn thicker socks while I wear them and they have been very comfortable. Very. I have received good responses from my friends on how nice they look. I am on my feet most of the day and they feel very comfortable."

"I have worn this type of shoe for years and I am pleased at the quality and fit of the ones I just received to replace last year's worn out ones,
I would like to say that I also think your phone operators deserve a lot of credit as well. They are pleasant and engaging and at the same time efficient at getting the order correct. Never once have I felt that they were rushing me, but really there to help.
But that's what I have learned to expect from Cabala's. Now how about your chamois shirts in Navy Blue. Will we ever see them again? RM"

"I awaited my shipment anxiously, the problem is the size for 91/2 is immense in length and width .
The quality was outstanding ,but i didnt want to experiment with size as every return is 7+ dollars"

"I just received my desert boots. I haven't owned a pair since I went into the service. That was 42 years ago. I put them on and just like being united with an old friend . I am wearing them as I am writing this revue. They feel great! I hope Cabelas never stops selling them."

"I ordered these thinking they were akin to Clarks Desert Boots - they sure looked that way - but I made a big mistake - I wore them outside so I can't return them. They're sized big - make my feet look like Ronald McDonalds - normally I'm thrilled with your products - in this case I'm disappointed - I guess I'll donate them to my local mission and seek out a pair of the originals -

"These shoes are exactly what I have been looking for.
There is one thing I am not pleased with.
They have an odor I can't get rid of. It smells like mold - I have placed them outside in air, letting them air out - this has done no good.
If I put them in my closet, everything will have this mold smell from the shoes.
I really do like the shoes. Maybe you can help with ideas how to rid them of this odor."
