"It gets hot in central Texas in the summer and I wanted a field shirt that would protect me from the brutal sun while still being light enough to wear when it was 100 degrees in the shade. And tough enough to take abuse from the prickly shrubs and cedar trees while still looking good back at the office. This shirt fits the bill! The 100% cotton safari shirts are too heavy for the peak summer heat, but these poly/cotton blend shirts are just right. As an added plus, they make for an interesting look with a straw cowboy hat."

"This shirt is one of those essential pieces of equipment for an outdoorsman. They are all that Cabelas promises, but what impresses me most is how comfortable they are in really hot weather. They're also rugged and will stand some rough use.
Be careful when picking a size. These shirts run large. I normally wear XL, which is a Large in this shirt.

"I have worn these shirts for years, both long sleeve and short sleeve. I also had the problem a while back with getting a greenish color when I ordered tan. Now I order stone and am happy with the color. The shirts now run larger then they used to. I used to order XL and though I haven't lost any weight, large now fits me better then XL. The shirts wear like iron and do not stain easily. They come out of the clothes dryer looking like they've been pressed. The only reason for the 4 stars is the green color that Cabela's calls tan."

"Great shirt! I actually ended up ordering one of each color. Wore them all through the summer. The long sleeves kept the sun out and yet remained comfortable all day long. Good pockets and so far they have remained in excellant shape wash after wash (and more importantly, dryer after dryer!). Only wish they had a few more colors because I'd order them too!"

"I recently bought one of Cabela's Long-Sleeve Safari Shirts as I was going on a trip around Andalucia in Spain. With temperatures in Seville reaching as high as 40 degrees centigrade it proved to be the most comfortable shirt for such conditions.
