"I use this on my Polaris Ranger. Prior to installing this product, my ball hitch would rattle on rough trails. This product worked perfectly and it was easy to install."

"I get tired of a hitch rattling when pulling a trailer around the ranch and on gravel roads. I have tried putting shims and spacers in the hitch to keep it from rattling but they would compress or slip out. So I tried this product.
It does tighten up the hitch very well and holds it steady. But after a while, especially when driving through the pasture or down a rough road (which is about all we have around here) the bolt that holds the hitch tight will loosen and we're back to rattling again. I am going to try lock washers or some other ideas to see how that helps otherwise...

Had To Adapt To Make It Work,

"It did tighten up and stop the rattle/shake out of my bike rack. The only problem I encountered was that I had to grind down the outside lip on the receiver so that it would be flat and the bolt would tighten up flat instead of sideways. This is on a 2004 Jeep Wrangler."

"This product does not work if you have a hide a hitch because the bolt that has to down from the top has no room as the bumper is right there. You need a hitch that sticks out past your bumper for this device to work"

"The bracket stops all rattling and trailer does not jump or
go up and down when loading or unloading my ATV
(4 wheeler). In fact I've bought five (5) of them and have given two (2) away to friends. If you use a receiver type

"Before purchasing be sure that you have clearance for the retainer screw that secures it. On my jeep it would not work due to a lack of clearance from the bumper. I am keeping the bracket since I am planning on purchasing another vehicle soon and hope that it will be usable with it."

"It does what it says kind of. It stops the hitch from rattling but only has one bolt to hold the hitch up. Eventually the hitch shakes the bolt loose and then everything is rattling again. If you tighten the bolt about once a week you don't have a real big problem. Maybe if you had something like an impact gun then you might be onto something but I crank on that bolt and sure enough about 4 days later I hear a rattle. I have since found other products that are similar with three bolts to hold the hitch in place. You might want to explore one of these options."

"I bought two anti-rattle brackets for the front and rear hitches on my 2500HD Chevy. As I was tightening the bolt (and wondering why it was still loose) I noticed that the top left corner weld was a cold joint - no actual metal to metal flow had occurred. Given the stresses that this unit will experience when a trailer is on the hitch and the poor construction I would not recommend it to anyone."

"This particular product didn't fit the hitch properly on our trailblazer. We were concerned about the rattling but it ended up that there was none so we didn't need it anyway. I kept the product just in case we would need it in the future for a different vehicle."

"This device has a serious design flaw. Try fitting it onto your receiver hitch and it won't go. I had to use an angle grinder to remove metal to make it fit. Without this grinding there was no way I could make it work. The bolt and nut interfere with the receiver. After making this modification, the gadget works fine. Solid, no more rattle. Best to install it with bolt on bottom so hitch insert is pulled down."

"I had to modify my hitch to get it to fit. Haven't tried it on a tow yet, but it will probably work. Should let people know before they buy that it doesn't fit all applications. Would not suggest to anyone unless they are somewhat mechanically inclined."
