not bad but not great, August 26, 2008
By yakfishattak

"It does what it says kind of. It stops the hitch from rattling but only has one bolt to hold the hitch up. Eventually the hitch shakes the bolt loose and then everything is rattling again. If you tighten the bolt about once a week you don't have a real big problem. Maybe if you had something like an impact gun then you might be onto something but I crank on that bolt and sure enough about 4 days later I hear a rattle. I have since found other products that are similar with three bolts to hold the hitch in place. You might want to explore one of these options."

Poorly constructed, August 11, 2008
By Dchap from Port Orchard, WA

"I bought two anti-rattle brackets for the front and rear hitches on my 2500HD Chevy. As I was tightening the bolt (and wondering why it was still loose) I noticed that the top left corner weld was a cold joint - no actual metal to metal flow had occurred. Given the stresses that this unit will experience when a trailer is on the hitch and the poor construction I would not recommend it to anyone."

Didn't work for us..., July 8, 2008
By Nitters922 from Mercersburg, PA

"This particular product didn't fit the hitch properly on our trailblazer. We were concerned about the rattling but it ended up that there was none so we didn't need it anyway. I kept the product just in case we would need it in the future for a different vehicle."

Anti-Rattle Hitch Bracket, June 23, 2008
By MenloParkGuy from Menlo Park, CA

"Good product, but the bolt that comes with it is to long to fit under the molded bumber of a 2008 Chevy Tahoe. Used it without the bolt...not sure if it did anything or not."

no-rattle, June 13, 2008
By ReNi from Colorado

"This device has a serious design flaw. Try fitting it onto your receiver hitch and it won't go. I had to use an angle grinder to remove metal to make it fit. Without this grinding there was no way I could make it work. The bolt and nut interfere with the receiver. After making this modification, the gadget works fine. Solid, no more rattle. Best to install it with bolt on bottom so hitch insert is pulled down."

Anit rattle hitch bracket, June 3, 2008
By BigWeiner from Saline, MI

"I had to modify my hitch to get it to fit. Haven't tried it on a tow yet, but it will probably work. Should let people know before they buy that it doesn't fit all applications. Would not suggest to anyone unless they are somewhat mechanically inclined."

Anti rattle bracket really works, June 1, 2008
By Surf from Pa

"I wanted something that would keep my fishing basket that I put in my trucks front receiver from moving around. I decided to purchase this bracket even though I thought that it would not work very well. After using it several times, when at the beach, I found that this bracket was just the item that I needed for the job."

Not too impressed, May 5, 2008
By workdude2

"I would consider this minimally effective. I've read other reviews and I would agree with two points; Put a grade 8 bolt in place of the one that comes with the bracket before you ever use it, and turn the bracket 180 degrees to tighten from the bottom. It will mess up your paint, let the rust spot be on the bottom where you can't see it. Besides it pulls down on the tube extension to sturdy the load, which makes more sense because we're adding a downward load on the receiver, right! Slight side-to-side motion is still a problem. I think there are probably other products that may be more effective."

Anti-Rattle Bracket ineffective, April 30, 2008
By Johnnnyboy from Fitchburg, WI

"I got the Anti-Rattle hitch bracket to fit over/with the Dual Hitch. There is no way it will fit over the Dual Hitch, and placed next to it the tightening screw pulls the Anti-Rattle bracket away from the face of the Dual Hitch. So it has no anti rattle effect that I can see."

check truck first, March 10, 2008
By Euge1979 from New Orleans, LA

"I bought this product because my hitch rattles quite a bit. When I received the hitch I was very excited but that ended pretty quickly. The attachment does not fit my receiver bracket, actually I have yet to find a truck that it does fit on. I'm not sure if the product works or not because I have not been able to install it on a vehicle yet."

Anti Rattle Hitch Bracket, January 15, 2008
By foxflyer

"I had to use 2-1/16" ID receiver tubing in my custom installation. This made the 2" hitch bar fit fairly sloppy. The hitch bracket tightened up the interface very well. It removed all interface movement. The jack screw supplied with the bracket was not very durable, so I purchased a grade 8 screw and that solved the problem. This would be a 5 star rating had I not needed to buy a replacement screw. A minor inconvenience."

Must modify, December 2, 2007
By Hern527 from New Jersey

"Would not fit over reinforced hitch receiver. Had to grind the inside nut, weld a nut on the outside, and use it at 180 degrees to avoid damage to bumpers, etc.
Manufacturer should weld the nut on the outside and provide two different bolts to avoid clearance problems. Otherwise a good product to totally eliminate rattles."
