Tackle box must have,
May 27, 2009
By risinjpfrom Boston, MA
"I have tried other water filled bobbers in the past and found them to be less than satisfactory.
Others seem to break easier, become less water tight quickly, and just do not seem to catch a lot of fish.
Of all the water filled bobbers I have tried the Rainbow Tough Bubbles are simply the best, last longer and catch more fish. I use them on every thign from trout to large mouth bass. They are the best of the bunch."

Works but not tough,
May 18, 2009
By joekewwlfrom Upstate NY
"I like this for using flies on a Reel, but the bubbles aren't as tough as I would have thought from what it said. They tend to leak out the water you put in them too."

Rainbow Tough Bubbles,
July 14, 2008
By novicefisherfrom Hawaii, USA
"Product is okay. Product should have a variety of sizes. I like to use a similar product that is 2.5" in size and works a little better and creates more of a splash when used on a spinning reel."

Perfect Water Bubble (bobber),
August 27, 2007
By FishnF00lfrom Lexington, MA
"As good as any I've ever used. I can't seem to find decent ones in the sports stores here. I have used this type of bobber all my life and they work great. This brand will not disappoint you."

Rainbow Tough Bubbles,
August 27, 2007
By Merindafrom Kelsey Ca
"Great--they don't break easily and the green and amber ones are easy to spot in the lake by me but hopefully not by the fish. Since receiving and using them, My husband and I have each caught our limit on our weekly fishing trip to Caples Lake in the Sierras"

Rainbow Bubbles,
August 7, 2007
By NormBCfrom Vancouver, Canada
"These bubble floats are a bit on the crude side in one way that affects function. The inner tapered tube is tapered on the inside too, which means that it has a largish inside diameter at the top, which necessitates either using an overly large bead before your stop knot, or using the float upside down."

Not so tough,
July 18, 2007
By MaxZmusfrom San Diego, CA
"I purchased the orange colored bubbles because of the visual aide while fishing. It also helps distinguish your bobber from others during a crowded situation. I've been disappointed at the fact that they tend to break too easily compared to the old clear style I'm used to. They won't break on short casts, but after a few long parabolic casts they tend to start cracking and all the water leaks out. Not so "Tough" after all."

Great but stinky,
May 16, 2007
By Fusionfrom Sacramento
"I don't know if I got a bad batch but mines smelled like manure. Its like as a child, we were fascinated by the smell of manure on a brand new library book. SAME SMELL. Fish don't seem to mind, caught many trouts."

Dad's Legacy,
February 10, 2007
By Anonymous Reviewerfrom Kissimmee FL
"When I was young, I always marveled at how my dad could catch fish in any lake, no matter if no one else was catching them. He always used a clear rainbow tough bubble, that he had spray painted orange. He would string ten to twenty of these bobbers on a long piece of string in the yard and paint them and leave them to dry. Soon the first sign that fishing season had begun for the year, to me, became a string of orange bobbers. My dad passed away last year and I moved to Florida. But I took with me his skills as a fisherman that he taught me as I grew. Yesterday I spray painted a line of them, it hangs, drying, in my back yard. I suppose I could buy the ones that are already orange, but then, how would I know when fishing season starts?"

Rainbow Tough Bubbles, Item:IG-114624,
November 25, 2006
By BigCityfrom Yakima, (Central) Washington
"I found this item, Rainbow Tough Bubbles, Item:IG-114624, to be an excellent choice through Cabelas. I have used casting bubbles for many years, but never tried this specific product. These Rainbow Tough Bubbles are made of a material that I find to be more durable than different brands I have used in the past. These will even take some bouncing off of rocks without incident. They are not indestructible, but are very durable. Another recommended product, BC"

Adjustable Float,
November 21, 2006
By kalisifrom Wisconsin
"This float is an item that I had been trying to find for some time. I can use this bubble float to rig an open faced casting reel to toss a light wet or dry fly. The bubble is placed above a swivel with the widest part of the bubble's center post nearest to the swivel. Then I attached a 6-8 foot leader and tie on the fly. Adding variable amounts of water to the bubble allows me to alter my casting distance. This ability to add water to this float makes it one of the most versatile floats available. The center post is pushed from one end to allow the fisherman to fill the bubble with water and then the post is replaced which traps the water in the float."

Fly fish without a fly rod,
November 20, 2006
By JimboGfrom Garner, NC
"I use these with my ultralight. I cast with this 4 feet or so up the line, with a fly at the end. The trick is to stop your line before the bubble hits the water, this is so the fly will continue to straighten out."
