Hornady® Lock-N-Load Auto Progressive Press

Mail-in Rebate
Hornady’s auto-indexing, five-station progressive press has a quick-change bushing system for switching all your dies without changing the die head. Changing a single die, or all of them with one quick twist. Die platform uses standard dies. Most 7⁄8"-14 dies and powder measures work. Included Lock-N-Load Powder Measure that uses quick-change metering inserts that can be reset to another charge or powder with the push of a button. Load calibers from pistol through most magnum rifle loads. Case-activated powder drop ensures a charge is dropped only when a case is in place, and it can be operated manually for inspection. Automatic indexing smoothly advances cases through each stage. Priming system is easily changed from large to small primers. Universal case retainer spring allows quick removal and replacement of cases at any stage in the process. A large cartridge catcher collects completed rounds. EZ Ject System ejects completed rounds automatically with 100% reliability. Teamed with the Automatic Case Feeder (sold separately), you can reload hundreds of rounds per hour. Dies and shellholder not included.

Great Reloader
Date:
Bought this press mainly to reload pistol rounds. Use my single stage press for reloading my rifle cases. Before buying I read lots of reviews on machines from several manufactures, mainly Hornady, Lee, RCBS, & Dillon. I am 100% happy with this press. Took a little getting used to the primers seating as it seats when pressing forward at the bottom of the down stroke, and consequently, I dropped powder into a few rounds that were unprimed during the first 100 rounds I loaded. Now that I have the rythum programmed into my brain it is not a problem. Love the quality and smoth operation. Took me about 4 hours, following the included set-up instructions, for the intital set-up but works great when done. Great press! Don't think I'll ever wear it out. Thanks Hornady!!!

Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Progressive Press

I'm pretty happy with the equipment. Had the primer feeder plate replaced since it broke, tends to jam.
The powder dispenser needs to be taken apart frequently to clean it and to check for rust if you operate in a humid climate.
Other than that it works as advertised.

nice loader
Date:
This is my first metallic reloader. There were no instructions in the box, so i watched the video to set-up this press. The video is for the old style press, the new ones are a little different. I was able to set up and load with no issues.
I does have some issues loading the primers from the tube, they tend to stick.

Excellent piece of equipment
Date:
For many years, I've reloaded using a single-stage press. After several years hiatus from shooting, it was time for me to get back into shooting and reloading. I decided to try a progressive press to replace my old (but still excellent quality) Pacific (Hornady) press with another Hornady product. I figured I had nothing to lose. I could always go back to my single-stage if I couldn't get the hang of the progressive. Well, let's make this simple and say I don't need to go back to a single-stage. The LaL press was a little challenging to get use to at the very beginning, mostly with set up, but after things were set, it went smoothly and loaded cartridges were coming out much faster than those in the "old days".
I load only four calibers; .243, .380 ACP, 9mm, and .45 LC. A quick change of the die bushings/dies, an adjustment on the powder and powder load, a change in primers, if necessary, and away it goes.
