Hornady® Custom Grade Pistol Dies

  • Hand-inspected for consistency

  • Need no case lube
These dies sport a slippage-eliminating Zip-Spindle™ design for a perfectly aligned fit and easy spindle-lock tightening. A sliding alignment sleeve holds the bullet, case neck and seating stem before loading for straight bullet seating. Polished elliptical expander smoothly releases from case necks and eliminates need for a separate expander die. Wear-reducing, all-steel seater adjustment screw with a compression washer for fine adjustments. Retainer ring for easy cleaning. Sure-Loc™ rings make fine-tuning easy. Sturdy steel decapper. Built-in crimper gives you the ability to crimp without a separate crimping die. Hornady steel dies are hand-inspected and heat-treated for durability and strength. With a hand-polished mirror finish, these dies are so smooth they will never scratch a case. Pistol Dies don’t need case lube and are outfitted with an adjustable expander die and bullet-seating alignment sleeve. Storage box included for storing fully adjusted dies, Lock-N-Load quick change die bushings, shell holder and a taper-crimp die.

  • Series II Pistol Three-Die Sets are available for most popular straight-walled pistol cartridges. Includes a titanium-ring full-length sizer die, pistol-style expander die and a seater die.
  • Series II Pistol Taper-Crimp Three-Die Sets seat and taper-crimp bullets in a single step. Includes a titanium-ring full-length sizer die, pistol-style expander die and a taper-crimp seater die.
  • Series IV Pistol Three-Die Sets includes a titanium-ring full-length sizer die, pistol-style expander die and a seater die for special or unique pistol chamberings.
  • Series V Pistol Four-Die Sets are for some of the larger pistol cartridges. Includes a full-length sizer die, pistol-style expander die, a seater die and a die for finishing roll or taper crimps.

I have used many brands of re-loading dies, but have found Hornady dies superb especially for pistols. I purchased a used Hornady turret press which allows me to re-load several calibers. All of my Hornady dies work fantastic in this machine. Recently I purchased the above two sets of dies because the others have work so well in the past. Great job Hornady!

Hornady Custom grade dies are an excellent value. They are made with precision. Any problems and Hornady will stand behind their products with no questions. I like the fact that you can put a wrench on the die body to do your adjusting or changing while setting up the die. some dies don't allow you todo this. With their "Get loaded" rebate. you can't beat these dies. I like all Hornady products
