not perfect, but a good call worth ordering

When I started looking for a squirrel call, I read all the reviews on various websites. This one seemed to be the best from my perspective, so I ordered it. I can see why the other reviewers commented the way they did. It is a very strudy call, but the way you have to shake it to sound the alert call, may damage it in the long run, if you don't hold it right. Specifically the rubber section could come off the plastic. But as long as you hold it correctly (holding the bottom of the rubber while holding the plastic), it works great. In fact, I believe it will last for many years to come. I really do believe it is a good call. I can't make all of the sounds that a squirrel makes with it, but what it does offer, seems to be enough. When I ordered it, I thought that squirrels would come looking for me (like a turkey call)when I used it. I was wrong. When I use this call, it gets the attention of the squirrels. They stop whatever they are doing and often stare. Sometimes they start responding back. Usually the ones further away respond first and then the closer ones may start as well. Often I use it when squirrels are running away. They can hardly resist stopping and peaking their head out to see what is going on, after I sound the call. Sometimes when I use the call, I get no audible response, even though I may see a squirrel. Other times, the response is amazing. 3 days ago, I had 4 squirrels all around me calling me and responding back to my call all in a 20 foot radius, and 2 who were calling back far away. I felt like Ace Ventura, the Pet Detective! In otherwords, the call is not perfect, But it works and is well made. I would suggest buying it if you want to call squirrels. By the way, make sure you listen to the CD that comes with it. That was probably even more helpful than the call itself to me - in helping me understand what the different calls were and sounded like.

This is a really good squirrel call. I have a lot of Grey Squirrels around the house and it really got their attention. They immediately stopped what they were doing and one actually came hunting for me. Can not wait to head for the hills with the old Remington.
