I would highly reccomend this product, but this is the problem I experienced. The decoy arrive today and to say the least the box looked like it had been run over. Opened only to find out there was no tail or stake in the box. To their credit Cablea's customer was great, they placed a new order for the decoy and ask that I return the one I have now. I'm not sure if this was shipped from Cabela's or from the manufactor, this item should not have been shipped in this condition without being opened and checked first. It would have saved a couple of weeks in turn around time, and time I have lost in hunting. I would have given a 5 but for the packing problem I only gave it a 3

Excellent product! Bought it on Saturday, went out on Sunday, First set pulled a double, using a female invitation howl. Had them RUNNING IN! Shot the first at 20 yds and the second at 300yds! Could have a better design(metal) on the stake, other than that works good during coyote mating season when coyotes don't respond to distress calls.

Better Than I Expected

I don't know where the picture in this ad came from, but the Yote decoy looks much better. The coloring more closely matches a real coyote. It looks very realistic. Mine brought a coyote in on the run the first time I used it.
The tail and ears are removable and not secured very well to the body. More than once while walking to my first stand, the tail fell off. I improved the attachment by zip-tying the tail to the body. I also epoxied the ears on since I can't see any reason why I would want them removed. I also attached a piece of rabbit pelt to it's lower jaw to appear that Yote is chewing on prey. It also adds to the movement illusion with any breeze.
The Yote is very lightweight and easy to carry to your stand. However, the plastic ground stake doesn't look particularly sturdy. I've only used it so far in sandy soil. It may not last long in firm, rocky ground though.
Certainly worth the money.

goose problem

Bought this coyote decoy because of other reviews I had read.Had a very large flock of canada goose and they were messing up the yard . The first day after putting out the yote , he kept them away.
