Um, shouldn't it make a noise?
Date:
I can't get this call to play? If I "growl" or "flutter" through the call, it will start playing, but then if I push any more air through it, it blows out. I can blow until I'm blue in the face, and the only way I can get it to play is very softly, and even then, it soulds exactly how it looks, like a cheap piece of plastic.

Huge Disappointment....
Date:
I've been calling coyotes for over 20yrs, and have used Knight & Hale predator calls for at least 15yrs, so when I saw this new line-up of calls, so I ran out and bought 3 of them. I was excited to try them out, but boy was I disappointed in these calls!
Specifically, my Ultimate Predator I (the red body) would not make any sound when I first took it out of the package, and air would blow out through the threads in the body. So I took it apart and tweeked the reed a bit, and added teflon tape to the threads to seal it up. Now it will at least make a sound, but only very quietly. If I blow too hard, trying to increase the volume, it "blows out" and stops making noise.
I took the first one back to the store, which replaced it, and the second call has the exact same problems. For its size and the breath it takes to play, this should be a fairly high volume, long range call, but anything more than what I consider a LOW volume, it blows out and either squeals, or just stops making noise.
After using K&H calls to take hundreds of coyotes, I'm incredibly disappointed in the entire line of the new Knight & Hale predator calls, but at least the Jackrabbit and Cottontail calls work reasonably well. The Ultimate Predator is an absolute waste of money, even after several attempts to tweak it and get it to play, it's still not reliably singing, and it's so quiet, it's not even worth taking to the field.
