CMC Breakaway Motor Protector by T-H Marine

Rated at more than 7,800 lbs. of thrust, this is the most powerful power trim unit you can put on your boat. Constructed of 1/2", 6061 T6 alloy aluminum extrusions and fastened with stainless steel fasteners for maximum strength and durability. No welds or castings to break. The hydraulic motor with 12-volt DC power unit and pump assembly is completely self-contained with its own fluid reservoir, eliminating the need for a hydraulic tank inside the boat. Rated for 130 hp and smaller motors, the PT-130 will trim the motor 20° and has a total of 65° trim and tilt. Incorporates a 6" setback, which enhances boat stability and puts the prop in cleaner water, eliminating prop slippage and increasing top-end speed and fuel efficiency. 5-year structure warranty. 1-year hydraulic pump warranty. Available with 2-1/4" dash mount trim gauge. Works in fresh or saltwater. Unit weighs 40 lbs. and has a maximum tilt of 90°.

very easy to install. mounted mine in about an hour. wiring is nice and long so instead of mounting the toggle switch im just leaving it floating so i can just use it the back if i need to or at the steering wheel at least until i get a second toggle switch.
the performance of my 16 ft lowe with 48 hp johnson seemed alot smoother ride gained alittle more speed and didnt get as wet as before the cmc haha my brothers even noticed the differance. i set my motor one hole higher on the cmc than it was on the transom like the directions say cavitation plate 3 in higher than the bottom of boat.
Awesome product !!!! It is sooooooooooooo nice not haveing to lift it out of the water myself anymore yea!!!!!
Buy it its worth every penny

Needed new power trim on an older bass boag. Oem was going to cost approx $1800.00. I Gave CMC a call prior to puchasing to run thwe make and model boat and motoer I was going to use it on. The installation was as they said it would be.....simple. I no trouble at all the unit works as advertised.

very easy to install, used it fishing and it worked real well. purchased it with tilt guage which made it easy to know where to set the motor each time after we raised the motor to anchor at the shore. installed with a 60 hp motor and used the existing tilt switch on my quicksilver throttle control. very well built

Solidly built, plug n play design. Just make sure you measure everything from your old motor before you drill into your transom. What I didn't know is that the clamp on outboards require the Adapter Plate. This made my install delayed by a week and a half. And something else to note, the adapter plate will raise your motor mounting position about 3 inches higher than the original mount. But overall, a solid unit. Would buy again.
