I use it on a 20 HP outboard and it is excellent. At my age(68) was having trouble lifting the motor by hand. A life or back saver.

This product was a life saver for my lower back, it works great on my 1974 50 HP Evinrude Outboard. Now, even my 13 Year old can help and safely tilt the engine up or down with ease. I love it and would reccommend it to anyone not fortunate enough to have a power tilt.

Don't use on new Mercury outboards

I bought this thinking that it was "universal" in usage but found out that the handle on the motor shroud is way too far down for the tilter to be able to clip onto. So it is useless. Make sure you know where the handle is on the shroud before you buy this. I have not found any tilter that will fit my new 25HP Mercury outboard 4-stroke motor.
