I use triple 7 it is one of the most clean burning
powders , cleans up with hot water and a bore mop .
Also is very consistent from shot to shot .

This is a very good black powder substitute to use in muzzleloaders or BP pistols. Had no issues with this powder. It cleans up easy with very little mess, and it doesn't have the bad smell like traditional Black powder / Pyrodex because of the lack of sulfer. Without sulfer the burn rate is higher so flintlocks may have issues using this powder, but percussion cap are fine. This makes it less corrosive on the firearm and the smoke produced is reduced. But you can't use a traditional full load with a powder measurer. It has to have a charge reduction of 15% less, because this type of powder produces higher chamber pressure and burns hotter than regular BP. An example of this is 80 grains of BP = 50 grains 777 (weight of powder is 58 by scale - 15% charge is 49.8 or 50 grains rounded) this will produce the desired effect. Good luck and happy shooting.

i use it in my 50 cal . cap and ball . shoot like a rifle ,easy to clean up. 100 yrds kill zone . the best in west .
