Sea Eagle Fold Cat 375
Date:
I've had a Sea Eagle pontoon for about four yrs. It's a great way to get around and fish on small metro lakes in the twin cities area of MN. I use a 55lb trolling motor and I can fish all day. It is very durable and I only had one small hole that I patched up in the four years of use. Use the air pump from a twelve volt power source and your ready to go in about 10-15 minutes. It's easy to store away and easy to keep clean.
I've never had a problem with it and the price is worth it.

Foldcat 375 is great
Date:
Wow! My wife and I just got off of the Yakima River (Ellensburg Canyon) with my new Foldcat 375 and we are excited. While the 375 is more narrow than other 2 seater pontoon boats, it is stable and can't be beat for the price and convenience. I chose to trailer the fully inflated boat but look forward to deflating and hauling the boat in my SUV which was a selling point. The 375 handled the river really well and many people asked where we got the boat and what it cost. I would recommend this boat to anyone looking for a 2 seat pontoon boat for ponds, lakes, and mild rivers.

Good concept
Date:
I bought my Sea Eagle 3 years ago. The first boat I recieved had a leak. the way the boat rolls up for storage, made indentations from the ridges that the aluminum slats slide onto. The boat was leaking from one of those indentions. I called Sea Eagle to return the boat and get another sent out. They were happy to accept the return at my expense. I took it to UPS, they wanted over $200 to ship it back. I called Sea Eagle and had to fight to get them to pay for the shipping of the damaged product I was sent. Finaly, after going round and round and demanding my money back, based on the satisfaction return policy, they agreed to pay for the shipping to return the boat. They recieved my boat and determined it was damaged when packed, they informed me they would gladly ship my new boat in three months when it came availabe again. It was on back order, which they failed to mention over the phone. With that said, I recieved my new boat, with the same shipping indentations that it had before, I decided I was done with Sea Eagle and I would repair the boat and deal with my loss at that point. I use it in Lakes, Rivers and in the Ocean Bay's. A few modifications I had to make, to make it suitable for myself. I put extenstions on the rod holders to make them reachable from the swivel seats without putting strain on the plastic seat quick releases. (should be steel or aluminum) I had to build a new motor mount out of steel. I use a 3.5 hp Merc 4 stroke. I dont trust the cheesy motormount that comes with the boat. The long oars are worthless. I purchased extendable oars. The long oars are too long to use. Not practical and they get in the way. Overall, after my modifications, the boat is great. I use it all the time. I want the four seater now, but I wont buy it from Sea Eagle. I hope to find one used, in good condition.
