A really good boat
Date:
I've had the Sea Eagle for over 2 years now and I really am happy with the purchase. It is truly a frameless pontoon boat that stores in a 2' by 3' package when folded. Along with the swivel seat, I also have the marine plywood floor, and the portage cart.
The boat is roomy and comfortable, and with the wood floor I can stand up in calm water. Rowing is a breeze and the quality of the materials and construction is top notch.
If I have one complaint, it's that there is no open water access in the boat, which means that you can't use fins to hold the boat in water. I've compensated for that by using 2 anchors, one foreward and one aft, or one on each side of the boat.
This boat is made in America, and the company stands behind their product. It's versitile and works well in up to class III whitewater, I've floated the Blackfoot and portions of the lower Yakima and have felt safe and secure. I'm very happy with my purchase.
