We’ve improved the Magnum Pique Polo, a familiar customer-appreciated value, with superior day-to-day performance. Updated with a moisture-wicking finish, its highly breathable fabric pulls moisture away from the skin for cool, dry all-day comfort. Crafted with long-lasting quality construction and designed with a slightly trimmer fit, this medium-weight shirt’s 100% cotton pique is combed and garment-washed for extra softness. An open note to clothing retailers everywhere

Over 60% of the country (USA) is overweight or obese. Obviously, this means we all want everything to come in a new "trimmer" fit. I don't know why this counter-intuitive trend started, but please end it. Every time I try to purchase new polo shirts I find that they've been "improved" by adding more length and a trimmer fit...translation, it's like wearing a tube sock.

Not Quite "Super"

Seven years ago, I purchased several Super Magnum Polo shirts. They were made from heavy fabric and were so well stitched that I'm still wearing them, and they have a lot of life left. I would have bought more of them, but they were discontinued. So, I was glad to see them offered again. However, I was disappointed when my "new" Super Magnums arrived today. The new ones are made from much thinner fabric. I actually weighed one of my old shirts against a new one; even after seven years of wear and washings, the old shirt was more than 60% heavier than the brand new shirt. The new ones are nice and all, but I expected to receive a heavy weight shirt. I'm debating about returning the new ones and trying something else.
