I gave this combo a 3 star rating because I was disappointed with the performance of the scissors. The Cabela's brand work much better. I would avoid purchasing this combo but I would't hesitate to buy the pliers. I would just get different scissors.

These pliers and scissors seem to be of good quality but have not had a real chance to use them yet. The scissor finger holes a a shade small but then I have Big hands. That is why the 4 star rating

The pliers work great for changing hooks and split rings. They fit comfortably in your hands and they have the heft to them of a real set of pliers. The scissors work well for the smaller Power Pro lines. The heavier (80 lb.) line it doesn't cut as cleanly, but I still haven't found a set of scissors that will. The carrying case is a little awkward, but works well enough.

The pliers are ok but the scissors are pure cheap. The two dollar scissors I bought cut way better than these
