Fish Hook Extractor

Don't like it. First off, due to slop in the design the hook that grabs the hook (if you've used this, you know what I'm talking about) doesn't line up with the grooves in the sleeve. If the fish is large and really thrashing, you end up bending the leading edges of the sleeve. Then there's the engineered twist -- instead of grasping the hook perpendicular to the tool and allowing the user to twist as necessary, the tool twists the hook relative to the tool. If you can't position the tool just so, all you do is twist the hook in the fish. I'd much prefer a tool that grasps the hook perpendicular to the tool, and allows the user to twist the hook out via hand-eye. Not this gadget. Back to the search for the tool that works....

The best extractor!

In the summer we catch alot of catfish in the Gulf, this extractor is so good I no longer have to dehook my wifes catfish. It is very easy to take apart and clean and well built. My friends and I have used many other dehookers and we all agree this is the best.
