no bang for the buck

I bought these thinking I wouldn't have to buy another set of pliers for a few years,but I was wrong .I bent the pliers trying to remove an 8/0 AKI from a small shark.The hook stayed where it was and the pliers bent .I contacted Cabela's who quickly arranged for a replacement set .Whilst waiting for the replacement the rubber grip on the handle fell off these pliers as well .Needless to say i have sent them and the replacement pair back for a refund .

These are a good set of pliers. I tried the stainless version and they are junk, but these aluminum ones are very well made. The cutters work great on braid and mono The handles are a little big for my hands, but it's something I can live with. I wish Cabela's would bring back the older style stainless with the dark finish. Those were good pliers too.
