The Big Bird Planers are made to take on big baits and up to 10 colors of leadcore, They are molded in Hi-Vis yellow EPS and are internally ballasted for maximum pulling power and smooth, reliable running in any condition. Molded in Hi-Vis yellow EPS. Planers measure 10-1/2"L x 3-3/4"H.

Terrible clips!!!

I tried using the planners for the first time trolling in San Francisco Bay but could not get the clips to hold onto the braided line. Tried twisting the line and putting it as deep as possible, but it popped off imediately once in the water. Didn't have other clips with me, my mistake, I'll try again another day.

Useless planer boards

I bought these planer boards this spring but I first used them when I went trolling for lake trout in the Norwegian mountains last week.
What a disappointment !
1.The so called "Power grip" releases would not hold any kind of line at all .
2 I manageded to get hold of a set of other power grip releases . These held - until the planers capsized in 10 inch waves.
