Pietta Model 1858 New Army Buffalo Brass Frame .44 Caliber Revolver
Over the years, this gun gained great favor with shooters, hunters and soldiers due to its rugged frame construction and excellent accuracy. Solid-brass frame (including strap over the cylinder) and trigger guard. Blued cylinder and octagonal barrel. Adjustable rear ramp sight. Barrel length: 12". Overall length: 18". Weight: 2 lbs., 10 oz.
I took it out the first dayi got it. and it was fun to shooti have several outher Pietta 44 and will buy outhers soon. this pistol is well worth the money, all my friends shot it they also like it.
i love shooting the gun. cleaning it is easy. the only downside i would say is the bluing chips off the corners on he barrel really easy. i soaked my holster to try to get a more custom fit, wrapped the gun in plastic so no moisture could get to it. when i took the plastic off i had blueing come off of the barrel. never had a problem with the cylinder and it soaked overnight in hot soapy water.
Another nice looking example of an 1858 Remington from Pietta. Cannot give 5 stars because I have not fired it. I bought on sale to add to my collection. It looks to be as nice as all the others I have though. I was surprised at the light weight and handling given the long barrel. Great pistol to add to anyones collection or to shoot with the target sights. Get one!
