Pietta Model 1858 New Army Brass Frame .44 Caliber Revolver with Starter Kit

Due to a lack of raw materials, the South was forced to reproduce the famous 1858 Remington with brass. Starter Kit includes: nipple wrench, powder measure, 2-oz. bottle of Cabela’s Black Powder Pistol Lube, a powder flask, 30 lead roundballs, and 30 felt powder wads.

Always wanted a BP pistol. This one made a nice birthday present for myself. With a 25 grain load to start out with and round balls no problem putting all 6 shots in a man-sized target at 50 yards. I was very impressed with quality and apperance. Carefully meassured powder loads will provide better accuracy than you think. This one will not be the last one I get from Cabelas.

I purchased this BP Revolver for my grandson, who is a very avid Civil War buff. The fact that it was modeled from a Confederate piece meant nothing to him, and he was thrilled by how well it performed. So was I.

Well worth the money, you will not be disappointed, the craftmanship is very good. Seems, Pietta took their time MFG this .44 revolver. I can say when you get yours you will understand what I am trying to convey. Balanced, feels great in the hand and the action is so smooth, be sure to get the Starter Kit from Cabelas they have everything you will need to correctly use this real piece of history . This is my first black powder pistol. Will not be my last. Could not find anything wrong. The shipping was real fast.

This is my first BP pistol. Not only is this gun great looking and well made.....it's a lot of fun to shoot and very accurate! I ordered the spare cylinder and now I have 12 shots before reloading.
