Pietta Model 1851 Navy Confederate .44 Caliber Revolver with Starter Kit
Patterned after the original made with a brass frame to conserve the South’s limited supplies of steel. Although designated as a Navy pistol, it saw heavy use among Army officers who favored .44-caliber firepower. It features a blued octagonal barrel; plain blued cylinder; tough, attractive walnut grips; and brass trigger guard. Choose the full-size replica with a 71⁄2" barrel or the identical, but shorter 51⁄2" barrel version. Both reload quickly with a spare cylinder (sold separately). Starter Kit includes: nipple wrench, powder measure, 2-oz. bottle of Cabela’s Black Powder Pistol Lube, a powder flask, 30 lead roundballs, and 30 felt powder wads. Barrel length: 7-1/2". Overall length: 13-1/4". Weight: 2 lbs. 9-oz.
I bought this gun as a starter gun getting into black powder and the starter kit came with everything it was legal to mail me. Very impressed wuth the online customer service.
Excellent little gun! I bought this to see if I wanted to get into black powder shooting because of the low investment cost. What received was a finely machined weapon that is dead accurate and very fun to shoot. I have yet to have a problem with the weapon and will be buying another Pietta soon. The only advise I would recommend is don't go over 20 grain as all the research I've conducted says it will stretch the brass frame.
