Pricy, but worth it

Picked up one of these "Hunter Hills Journals" a little while back and am very happy with it. Well made and very nice looking. They also make different journals for upland birds, fishing, military etc. and they all come in several sizes and colors. Hopefully Cabela's will pick up the rest of their line.
My ONLY complaint about this product is the first page. It was this lame printed page on the very front of the first page that isn't even printed properly and totally out of proportion. I'll be covering this page with a photo or something.

The journal is great. The only thing negative is that the manufacturer puts these big white stickers on the back of the LEATHER journal. If you heat them up really good with a blow dryer the majority of the sticky stuff comes off but it still leaves a little residue. I tried sending it back and spoke with customer service but all the journals have these stickers. Besides that the journal is great!

I wish as a youth that I would have had the oppertunity to keep track of the game that I have hunted . This past hunting season was the first year that my son of 16 years took his first white-tail. I was as proud as ever, then the thought of keeping records of his adventures to share with his son in the future came to lite. The journal is very detailed. I think that having a place for a snapshot is a great visual reminder as well. I gave the journal to my son for his 16th birthday , I really do believe by the look on his face that I indeed gave him the gift of a life time. I hope that I will be able to pass on the pride of being a good,ethical hunter. He is my pride and joy , and to be able to record in writing and pictures the hunts that we shared together is fantastic.

Best Gift Ever

I purchased this journal for my husband for Father's Day as a gift from our 2 month old son ( he couldn't quite do it himself!) and it was the best idea I have ever had. He cannot wait to get the little guy out and start recording all the things they do together in it. Fishing, Hunting, Treasure Hunting everything! It will later become an item that will be passed down from Father to Son. Although a little pricey, if you are looking for that "little something different" that won't be expected I highly recommend this journal. The quality is beautiful.
