Good start, needs better hardware

I bought this to store my 12 foot kayak and my wife's 10 footer. It's definitely strong enough to hold both yaks, but the hardware it comes with is definitely lacking. The mounting bolts are super weak, I upgraded to some better lag bolts. Also, the whole point of this system, for me at least, is to store two yaks, and it only comes with one set of load straps. This means that you have to use the straps to mount the second yak leaving the top one unsecured. The instructions say you do not need to strap the top yak unless it's outside exposed to wind. This is California, anything mounted to a wall should probably be secured. I would easily give this a 4 or 5 if it came with better hardware and a second set of straps. That all being said, i would make this purchase again. Better mounting hardware is only a couple bucks and I'm very happy with the way my yaks are stored cleanly against my garage wall out of the way.
