This slip-on filter is a perfect fit for the Surefire 6P I have mounted on a forward rail on my varmint rifle. It takes a little effort to install as the fit is good and tight, so once installed it doesn't come loose on its own. The red filter will work with most varmints at night and It flips open with one finger so you can use your 6P as a regular flashlight if needed. Can't say how it fits the Z2 or G2, but if they have the same diameter head, it should be just fine. I recommend a red filter to anyone who uses a 6P for hunting varmints at night.

The red filter worked great. It still allowed most of the light through and was easy to flip open or shut but would not flip up unexpectedly.

I bought the red filter for my Surefire G2 LED. Works great at keeping my night vision. It also allows me to flip it open while keeping it on the light for those times that I need to have a brighter light.
