  • Range of five miles GMRS

The Rino 130 is the most loaded GPS and GMRS/FRS radio in the Rino series, with a built-in electronic compass, barometric sensor, weather receiver for seven NOAA weather channels and 24MB of memory. Waterproof, this 12-parallel-channel GPS has a WAAS-enabled receiver with the accuracy to put you within 10 feet of your destination. Channels 1-7 are FRS/GMRS, 8-14 are FRS and 15-22 are GMRS for a wide range of communication options, and each unit has a range of five miles with GMRS. Each channel has 38 squelch codes for semi-private conversation. The patent-pending peer-to-peer positioning "beams'' your location to another Rino user within a two-mile range. This Garmin-exclusive feature shows the receiving party the distance and bearing from your position to theirs. The 24MB of memory allows you to download maps from MapSource™ CD-ROMS. The electronic compass displays accurate heading while standing still, and the barometric sensor provides automatic pressure trend recording. The weather function also has weather alert tones to inform you about hazardous weather. And the 130 even lets you send and receive short text notes for quiet communication. It holds 500 waypoints and 20 reversible routes. Every unit has extensive waypoint storage, TrackBack technology, multiple position formats and a built-in trip computer with speed tracking, sunrise/sunset readout, trip timer and trip distance. Comes with a lanyard, belt clip, user's manual and PC interface cable. Three AA batteries provide 15 hours of battery life.

We purchased 2 Rino 610's and 1 of them had something wrong with the toggle switch. Turned that one in and upgraded to a 650. So far it has been good and cannot complain. We have had it for a week now.
