6.3oz same as larger Bear Deterrent sizes...

we have this 3 pack UDAP kit and also 2 of the UDAP 7.9oz Bear Deterrent. I wanted to point out that although the middle 1.9oz size in the kit is 1.33% Capsaicin and related capsaicinoids (CARC), the largest one, 6.3oz, is labelled 2.0% CARC which is the same as the 7.9oz Bear Deterrent label. also, the top of the can, including the fogging spray nozzle shape, is the same on the 6.3oz in the kit and the 7.9 Bear Deterrent. Hope to never need any of them, but I consider the 6.3oz a bear deterrent fogging unit based on the label and nozzle.

NOT BEAR SPRAY

UDAP makes both personal defense and bear spray. Be sure of which kind you are purchasing! The ingredients in personal defense spray do not have the same intensity as bear spray.

This product (multiple pack of sprays) is not a Bear Spray product. Check the label. UDAP clearly labels all their bear sprays as "bear deterrent."

UDAP's stuff is top-notch for both bear and personal defense. But, know what you are buying so you are covered!

Saved My Life

In 2002 I was mauled by a grizzly bear while hiking deep in Yellowstone National Park. When she broke my leg my friend got up and took on the bear. He stopped a charging mother grizzly at 5 ft with a can of UDAP pepper spray. She hit the spray like she hit a wall and she was gone. It was a 3 mile walk and 23 hrs to be rescued. I now carry UDAP whenever I am in the woods even in my home state of Ma. Anyone hiking in Grizzly country without pepper spray is a fool.
