At full charge, the Mini Thunder Blaster delivers 500,000 volts of electricity, enough to disable an average attacker for 5 to 10 minutes with no permanent damage. A safety micro locking switch prevents accidental discharge. Powered by two 9-volt alkaline batteries.

Can't attest to the operation of this unit because it came in damaged so I sent it back. Overall construction was pretty poor quality with a very brittle plastic housing. A unit of this type should be more durable if you plan to actually carry it and subject it to daily handling, drops, bumping etc. I'm going for the refund because I was disappointed in overall construction quality.

This stun gun is awesome. I weigh 250lb and it put me on the ground motionless for a good 2 or 3 minutes. It was the perfect birthday gift for my wife..Thank you Cabela's.

Great while it lasted

I purchased this item for my wife, so she would have alittle
extra protection when she worked late. At first it seemed to
be working OK. Unfortunately, the only way to make sure it's
operating is to test fire it for a half second. 2 weeks after
receiving it, my wife was ready to leave for work, and I gave
it my usual test fire to check the batteries, it gave an audible
click inside the unit, no spark, and then that sickening smell
you get when something electronic gives up the ghost. Tryed
new batteries, dead. Currently a paperweight. After the 1st
week I dumped the box, so a return is unavailable. I don't
blame Cabelas in the least, I should have kept the packaging,
I would have gladly tryed a replacement. Keep your
packaging for at least 30 days!
