DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE SPRAY. (GOTTA BELIEVE THE DUDE THAT SPRAYED HIMSELF) I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER. THEY CARRY IT ON THEIR KEY CHAIN WITH NO PROBLEM. THEY HAVENT HAD TO USE THEM. (HOPEFULLY NEVER), BUT AT LEAST I FEEL A LITTLE BETTER ABOUT THEM BEING ALONE SOMEWHERE.

Burning Pain on Contact

This spray burns immediately on contact. To see if it worked I was sprayed with a short 1/2 second shot in the face. The spray produced a dense liquid stream out to 12 feet. The stream saturated my ocular area. First thing that happened is my eyes slammed shut tightly and I could not open them. Burning pain was intense and it was hard to breathe. The entire 30 minutes I was down the tear gas kept vaporising. This is better than regular pepper spray because the Tear Gas vaporises so as long as you hit the attacker shoulder up you will get him. The flip top cap makes sure it is pointed away from you and the grip dispenser automatically positions it in hand. I am not a fan of the twist top sprays because they twist off and you can spray yourself with them. Not with this product. Good buy!

Two things that can keep Self Defense Sprays from working are wind and the inability to access and fire the unit under stress. This dispenser has a flip top lid that guards the spray button. If you hold the unit backwards you cant spray yourself with it. The grip lets you know if you have the unit positioned correctly in your hand, even in the dark. The strong ballistic stream minimizes any blow back exposure to the user.

The unit clearly has an expiration date marked on the grip so you know when to replace it. Pepper Spray has about a 4 year shelf life. I recommend you carry this in your hand when walking alone. Since it has a key chain it is natural to carry in your hand at all times.
