Purchased 2 to replace seats on our Suntracker Pontoon. Used Taper Lock Flush Mounted base. Installed new Attwood Contour Boat Seats (see separate review). Seat Base on pedestal fits just about any seat you might purchase. Good solid install with no wobble and adjustability is a plus.

Replaced my original mount and power pedestal in my 2 man 11.2 WaterCraft bass boat with this. I am somewhat disabled but had NO problem installing...in fact installation was a breeze. I can adjust my sitting position with ease. The mount is SOLID and doesn' sway. Perfect for anyone whose back get tired with those mounts that constantly move and won't seat firmly. I will undoubtly replace my second seat with this mount if my fishing buddies start to complain that they like my seat better!

Piston works well. Only grip would be that this size is a little too short, and the other one offered is a little too tall? There should be something in the middle...

Better boat control

I was able to use my bow mount foot pedal with greater ease and efficiency after installing the taller "leaning" style pedestal. The adjustable feature made finding "just the right spot for comfort", an easy proposition. I love the feel of the pad on my lower back. Although I still like to have my conventional chair, with arms, up there for most situations, I should have added the "stand-up" option years ago.
