Springfield Kingpin® Series Pedestals & Mounts

The Kingpin pedestal is Springfield's first-generation plug-in seat pedestal, but it remains popular with bass boaters. From both the bottom of the swivel seat mount and the plug-in post, extend a 3/4" diameter pin of plated steel. The floor-mounted base and the top of the post contain corresponding sockets with diameters of 3/4".
Available:
  • The Quick-Tilt is perfect for quick adjustment of fishing seats and leaning posts. Four snap-in positions.
  • Kingpin Seat Mounts feature a swivel with spring for added cushion.
  • The Kingpin Power Rise Stand-Up Pedestal adjusts 22-1/2" to 29-1/2". Pin fits any 3/4" dia. kingpin base (requires Quick tilt or Kingpin Seat Mount).
  • The Kingpin Posi-Lock Stand-Up Pedestal offers positive locking manual adjustment without pull-pins. Adjusts from 21" to 28" (requires Quick tilt or Kingpin Seat Mount).
  • Text Size: AAA

    BE CAREFUL !!
    Date:
The Springfield Kingpin Series Pedestal Mount failed me. The locking pin sheared off after I mounted them, sending me falling back and nearly cracking my head on the gunrail. So, BE CAREFUL !! Thanks.

    Easy post
    Date:
The Kingpin Posi-Lock (mislabeled on the website), allows for easy raising of the seat. Lowering is also easy, just lift the lever and it drops to the lowest setting. My only complaint is that the pedestal should have one more lower pin setting. I'm 5'6" and with the Signature Seat, I'm a little up on my toes while sitting.

    Good Idea - Poorly Engineered
    Date:
I bought two of these things because it described exactly what I was looking for: A) a tilt base, B) quick adjustment. Well, it quickly tilts without warning while leaning against the butt seat -- very irritating!! There are two problems that exist with this product: 1) the spring is too weak, and 2) the locking pin fell out. The supplied spring is too weak, so the seat mount doesn't stay locked in the desired tilt position, simply sitting and pivoting on the seat post will cause the tilt position to change without warning. This occurred the first time I used the product. I replaced the spring with a heavier gauge spring purchased at my local hardware store that solved the auto-tilt problem until the pin, that locks the seat mount in a tilted position, fell out! It fell out!! IT FELL OUT!! Given that this occurred the morning of a tournament made me hate this product. After the tournament, I attempted to glue the steel pin back with a liquid metal weld product only to lose the pin because it fell out again. By the way, the stock pin needs to stick out 1/16th of an inch more to truly become useful. I purchased two of these products along with two Springfield Kingpin pedastals. I am now an ex-Springfield customer, returning all of their products to Cabelas and replacing Springfield with another brand. Given that Springfield Kingpin products have weak springs and loose pins certainly misrepresents the company.
