These pedestals are definetely worth the extra money. I just removed the old skanky lounge seats from my boat and replaced them with these Springfield pedestals and a couple of seats from Cabelas. These work great for retro-fitting an older boat. I'd recommend the taller pedestals for a nice comfortable sitting position.
