Don't apply it to the outside of your rifle and store it away. The cleaner is water based, and will rust up on exposed outer steel in a hurry. Good for removing fouling from inside the barrel. I used it after every ten shots at the range and it made loading patched ball much easier.

Best black powder cleaner!

I have been using T/C No. 13 Bore Cleaner since I purchased my first smoke pole, a T/C Firestorm, more than 10 years ago. I have never found any cleaner that is as easy to use and as efficient at cleaning black powder residue.
