CO2 Load Discharger Kit and Replacement Cartridges

Clearing an unfired charge from your black-powder rifle has never been easier. Whether flint or percussion, conventional or inline, the Load Discharger lets you expel a charge using a standard CO2 cartridge. Slip it over the percussion nipple or against the flash hole of a flintlock, and your barrel is cleared instantly. Kit includes cartridge holder, discharge extension, discharge tip, blowoff tip, 16-gm. CO2 cartridge and carry case.

Blew the Gasket

In order to create the gas pressure required to discharge a shot, the discharger would need to be rated to a much higher pressure than it can actually generate before the gasket gives out and the front end blows off.
My suggestion if you use it, apply an ample helping of pressure to it in order to help the front end not explode when you pull the trigger.

I tried it with 2 catrtridges with zero effect. An expert in muzzleloading tried it with another cartridge and it again produced gas with no ball movement. This was a new caplock rifle with tight bore. I have bought many great products from Cabellas. This isn't one of them.

I used it to remove an oversize patch and jag that were stuck tighter than any patch and ball could ever be. I used the small nipple that was on it right out of the package. Pressed it firmly against the touch hole and pulled the trigger on the dispenser for two seconds,patch and jag flew about 20 feet.Money well spent.

I bought this to blow a charge from my muzzleloader. The adapter didn't go into the touch hole but over it and it sat flush. Honestly, I didn't think it would work but it did. It took a total of not even 2 seconds to blow out the maxi-ball and powder. I would definitely recomend this to friends and family.
