Perhaps one of the most overlooked safety precautions when heading outdoors is skin protection. Sizing problems

I normally buy pants with a 38" waist and 32" inseam. Based on other reviews that these run small, I bought the XL 40-42. The elastic waist band makes these fit comfortably around the waist but they are very baggy--almost clown style. Possibly due to the bagginess, the length seems an inch or more too long.
I'm used to pants with large vents down the inseam and was concerned that small vents on the outside of these wouldn't work. I found the bagginess to be an advantage in that it allows air to flow between the mesh pockets that gape open and the side vents.
I'd order a smaller pair to try, but they seem to be out of stock again.

I recieved these pants today. I'm 6'1"/220lbs, and was concerned about fit. I have to say, thanks to the other reviews, I checked my inseam and waist before ordering. These seem well made and fit fine. The vented side panels were a selling point. I will update my review once I have tried them out while fishing, but so far so good.

Great if you can get a good fit

I give these four stars because five is reserved for "perfection." These WOULD BE PERFECT if the fit were better. (So, if you can get a good fit for yourself, they would be perfect for you.) I normally wear a 36 waist, so I ordered these in Large, i.e. 36-38 waist. If they were any tighter, I would have to send them back, and the next size up might be too loose, since according to the sizing chart, XL covers a waist-range of 40-42, i.e. FOUR INCHES larger. Why is there nothing in between?

Just received my pants. I ordered a 2x large. I wear a 44 waist. They are way small---- They are perhaps a size 40. Just thought I'd let you know. I'm keeping them as an incentive to lose weight.
