These things are GREAT! ! !
When the fish are tight to cover this is my GO TO bait.
I stay as far from the structure as possible and pitch these right into the brush, and consistently out produce the guys fishing tube or curly tail jigs.
The lighter the jig the easier it seems to be to work through the brush. I've tried the 1/8oz size, but GREATLY prefer the 1/32 & 1/16 for fishing in brush; the 1/8 are nice for long line trolling.

Slider Heads for river Smallies

I have been using the Charlie Brewer Crappie Jig heads for Rivers smallies for many years. Their thin wire design and light weight is perfect for small profile soft plastic baits. They are best used with the hook point just under the baits skin. This weedless presentation also makes it rockless in the river when fishing slack line in current breaks.
