Bought the paddle and took it out in the sound as a test run. After 20 minutes of paddling it bent and rendered itself useless. If your looking for a paddle that will propel you around your bath tub, this one might hold up. It has no place in the ocean in my opinion!

I found this paddle to be a great buy for the money. It moves my kayak through the water very well, even in choppy water and windy conditions. I found the rubber rings worked very well to keep the water from running down the shaft, therefore maintaining a good grip on the foam grips possible. The adjustable positioning is nice and breaking it down into two parts to fit in the auto for transport is nice. I did not find it to be wobbly or loose fitting when put together for use.

This paddle is a good buy for the money. It is sturdy and has collars to keep the water from dripping back into the kayak and is well made. I already owned one and ordered a second for another kayak.
