Kelty's most popular pack for the trail. Comes in a 2,500-cu.-in. women's specific model or a 3,100-cu.-in. version . The women's model offers superior on-the-trail comfort and a customizable fit with its female-specific Cloud-Lock II Suspension system. It boasts a roomy main compartment with organizational pockets. Kelty packs offer trail-taming performance and high-end technology at an affordable price. The Cloud-Lock™ II Suspension is internally adjustable for stability. A single LightBeam™ II stay absorbs the shock of climbs and descents. The dual-density foam waistbelt absorbs heavy loads and a moisture-wicking back panel keeps you dry. Twin location load stabilizers and a stout I-beam keep your pack balanced. Padded S-shaped shoulder straps are contoured to your body. The top is curved, so you can move your head freely. The body is made of rugged 600-denier polyester ripstop and 600-denier polyester oxford with 610-denier Cordura®-reinforced panels in key areas. Sternum strap. Lash tabs. Key fob. Imported.

I bought this pack for my wife to use on our weekend backpacking trips. I was unprepared for how small this pack is. Could barely get a compressed sleeping bag in the main compartment. This pack is more suited for the college woman who needs a place to put her books and laptop.

Winging it with the kelty Red wing

I travelled from the Caribbean to NZ and back,using this pack as carry on luggage.Ten flights in all and no one stopped me. I was happy about this because the pack was far bigger than I had anticipated. I had no problems with it at all and it did what I wanted it to do and it slipped easily into the over head compartment in the aircraft without taking up a lot of space.
The next time though, I will use it as my main luggage and take a smaller pack as a carry on.

I bought the Kelty Redwing 3100cu in black at the beginning of last summer. The vast amount of storage space and multiple compartments this pack has made it incredibly easy to organize and carry all of my hunting, fishing, and outdoor gear. Recently I took it out into the woods rabbit/bird/squirrel hunting, I carried the pack (which weighed 21lbs 14ozs according to my fish scale) for four hours, and it was great. It stayed snug and comfortable without needing constant readjusting, it laughed at the branches and picker bushes trying to tear at it, and I was confident my stuff would stay dry in the heavy snow. It was great to be able to carry everything I could possibly need, and have room for my coat when I needed to take it off. It has generous padding on the backing, shoulder straps, and waist belt. The waist belt and chest connector are easily adjustable and removable. It is a well designed, quality, and durable pack and I am confident it will take years of punishment.

The problem I had with this pack is the webbing on the side ripped where the water bottle goes in.
