Cabelas scent-lok UL Savanna EXT Pants,October 22, 2008
By bowhuntertr78
"I got these pants for early season bow hunting. They are great I was very comfortable in them sitting in the stand when the temperature was warmer. I also wore these when it was even a little cooler out with some base layers and was still very comfortable."
Savanna pants,November 12, 2007

"I have the savanna pants in three different cammo paterns. They are light weight for early season hunts or for long walks. They hold in the scent very well and keep their colors longer than other brands I have purchased. They are by for the best hunting pants on the market."
Comfortable, Quite and Scentless,November 5, 2007

"I have had the opportunity to hunt with these pants 4 times since my purchase. I have not been busted yet this year. I sat over an 8 pt and a 6 pt last week and they never knew I was there. I am waiting for the one we call crabby. (crab claw on one beam) I think I have a shot with these pants.
Not so happy,November 27, 2006
By Keefwagonfrom Oregon
"First, I must say, I've never previously been disappointed with any other Cabela's brand item. I bought the "Ultra-Light" Savannas because the advertisement says they are "comfortably breathable and amazingly lightweight". If I was sitting still, that may be the case. But during early elk bow season in western Oregon, any movement at all in warm weather caused sweat that didn't escape easily. I did not find them breathable in the least. They did, however, keep me dry when walking through wet brush. Beyond that, while not advertised to be waterproof, they didn't stand up to western Oregon rain. With the Scent-Lok, I was able to get close to elk first thing in the morning, before I started sweating. While advertised to be "any-weather", I found them sweaty in warm weather, and wet in the rain."

"I have a full set of the Savanna gear. It is great in hot weather, and a lightweight base in colder conditions. My results this bow season have been awesome using this gear, as I have had a lot of bucks really close, that did not detect me."
Cabela's Scent-LoK ClimaFlex Ultra-Light Savanna,November 22, 2006
By KeithSfrom Washington, North Carolina
"Staying scent free and cool in warm weather has always been a problem. When Bow Season comes in early September in the South , it really is a problem. There is no product that can keep you from sweating in 95 plus temperture but, Cabela's Scent-Lok Climaflex Ultra-Light Savanna Ext Pants and Shirt can keep you cooler and scent free better and any products out on the market today. I use them all during hot Bow Season and continued to use them into the cooler fall hunting season. By using the pants and shirt I believe that I had game come in to my shooting range that would not have come if I had not been wearing Scent-Lok clothing."
Excellent product!,November 21, 2006
By ReedCfrom Florida
"I live in north Florida where it is normally in the 70's to 80's during most of bow season. This year I purchased the Scent lok Savannah EXT pants and mock turtleneck. They kept me reasonably cool. I could really tell a difference between this season and years past. It also performed well as far as scent containment goes. I sat several times 10-15 yards upwind of several deer and was never detected. My father has the Scent lok Savannah Lightweight (the predecessor to the EXT line), and it performs comparably but is too noisy when drawing your bow. Scent lok eliminated this problem when they developed the EXT line. The material is pretty quiet allowing you to move around some without being heard. I highly recommend this product. In my opinion, it is the best lightweight scent control clothing on the market."
Savannah EXT Pants,November 21, 2006

"Great pant for early season. Like the scent lok and the multiple pockets. Fabric is quiet and durable, the EXT much better than the original Savannah. Good product, very happy with it."

Hot Action in Hot Weather,November 20, 2006
By westtxhunterfrom Cedar Park, Tx
"Any bowhunter in Texas knows that hunting in late September and October can mean grueling hot conditions. Personally, I've been guilty of passing up hunts due to the Texas heat. That is until I started using the Scentlok Climaflex Savanna camo by Cabela's. This stuff is light years beyond the older heavier Scentlok suits of the past. Not only does the Scentlok lining live up to it's reputation, but Scentlok Savanna is designed to be worn against the skin! With the old stuff, I wore light clothing underneath to prevent body oils getting into the carbon lining. Friends, layers are thing of the past, ,and 85+ degree heat is no problem! And, it's icing on the cake to mention that the fabric is soft, quiet, and tough. If hunting is your passion, but the heat is keeping you out of the field, Scentlok Climaflex Savanna is your awnser....it's literally a blessing in disguise."
