They work,March 23, 2009
By BowhunterWaynefrom Virginia
"What can you say about cleaning patches? They work. I use the two inch round ones for my 50 cal muzzleloaders and they do the job well. At a fraction of the cost of what the arms manufactures are asking for their cleaning patches. These do not leave any lint or shreds of cloth behind. I will continue to use these as long as cabela's makes them."

These patches make things easy.,November 21, 2006
By Sunny800from Northern California
"For cleaning patches, I used to cut up an old worn out cotton tee shirt. Hey, the price was right. Recently I got a new black powder rifle and figured on doing it all correct to start with. Well, I'm sold on Cabela's cleaning patches. 200 in a bag and for less than the price of a cheap new tee shirt, these patches work great. I like that they come pre-cut to match the bore size. The edges are cut cleanly, no frays. I use pre-lubed bare lead conical bullets, so these patches are for cleaning only, not to wrap on round balls. They work best with black powder cleaning solvent, but one day I forgot to bring the solvent to the range. Here's a trick, as you load the first charge, put two patches in your mouth like chewing gum. Take the shot and use the soggy patches, one at a time, to clean the barrel. Works pretty good with Tripple-7 powder. Of course, trash the dirty patches and clean the barrel with solvent when you get home."
