"A rugged design by Gerber with a solid feel. I have no doubt the Firestorm can hold up to daily ranch use. It went straight into my pocket. A big knife but carries well. Opening it with the index finger and using the tab seems like it would be faster than the thumb. That will take some getting use to."

"Looks and feels like a solid heavy duty work knife. Construction is similar to the CRKT M16, with flipper for fast one-hand openning. The blade is made of a 440C type stainless steel, with razor edge and good edge holding properties. Length of the blade is 3.5 inches, and thickness is 3.25mm. The liners are also stainless steel, all metal parts being bead blasted to a matt finish. This is a great knife, and as it is made in Taiwan quality is assured. Even better was the great price at Cabelas!"

"Bought this knife as a back-up to the Gerber Armor I already own (and have lost twice)... This knife is heavier than my Armor, but still a very good solid knife, especially for the $$$. The locking mechanism on the Firestorm actually works better than my Armor. I'd recomend this knife to anyone looking for a good solid, well built Tanto at a reasonable price, just be advised that it's fairly heavy and has a large handle."
