Like the original Red Lightnin', Red Cast has a distinctive red color that disappears in the water. Plus, it's made using an extra-limp formula for smooth, long-distance casts as well as maximum knot strength. It's great on spinning reels. Comes in 1-lb. spools. Imported.

Cajun Line,February 3, 2009
By bigbitefrom I am A fishing fanatic.
"I used Stren for many years, and found Cajun line by accident. I do A lot of casting for walleye and silver bass in the St. Clair river, and Cajun is the best line I have ever used."

Awesome,December 4, 2008
By LunyTicfrom Seminole, OK
"I traditionally use lighter tackle and rods and this was no exception. I spooled the 8lb of this and haven't been happier. Even compared to some of the more expensive lines (xxx) this line has phenomenal knot strength. At night and low light conditions it doesn't even appear visible. I am changing all my line over to this. My son and I have been fighting 10+ cats on this stuff without a single line break."

Catchin Red,February 12, 2007
By Hamster1from New London, WI
"It started a joke. A friend was using this line on the spring walleye run. After catching several redhorse it was suggested the line was a good attracter for these fish. The two 15# plus carp he landed with 6# test got my attention. The next year I bought the line for one of my rods. Reminded me of Royal Bonnyl which isn't availiable any more. Cajun Red is strong, show little to no memory, limp and last a long time. Fished the same line two years and seems as good as new. I am changing the other eighteen rods I have over to this line."

Cajun Red Cast line,November 21, 2006
By Herb1from Jamestown, NY
"Very pleased with this product. Have used the 8 lb test line on our trout poles. Was very surprised at the strength of this line,i.e. took a lot to break line when snagged up, and the "non" visibility of the line in the water. Have also used the 20 lb. line when we went salt water fishing in the canal in Cape Cod. Highly Recommended."

Cajun Red Cast Line - 1-lb. Spool,November 14, 2006
By quailchaserfrom Guyton, GA
"I ordered the 1 pound spool in 6 lb. test line. Wow, I got more line than I expected. I enjoy crappie fishing and the 6 lb. test line is my preferred line. With as large a quantity that came on the 1 lb. spool I am able to change my line on a monthly basis or more without it costing me an arm and a leg. The value of this 1 pound spool is well worth it."

Good quality line !,October 22, 2006
By NewBrunswickicefisheman1from Mike M. New-Brunswick Canada
"I have been fishing for 30 years! Ever since I was 8 years old! I have tried many lines before, like Trilene, Magna thin, Berkley, but none realy match up to Shakspere cajun! The knot strenght is great, very low memory, abration resistant! And it actualy disapears under 4 feet of water, witch is great when you are fishing for shy brookies, bass in heavy cover , the only thing it does as well as almost all the other lines is top water fishing! I use 6, 8, 10 pound test, the 6# test is more like the 8#, and so on! I have gotten many snags this season, that my usual line, Trilene XL, would have snaped, but the cajun didn't even fray! I must have cleaned the bottom of the Chocpish river of old branches and small logs. But the one thing I am very impressed with, is that my catches have almost doubled! I know it's not because of my skills as a fisherman, so it must be the lines ability to disapear under water! The only thing the fish see is the lure, not the line! The only time I had a problem with the line was when it failed was at the knot, but the line did not brake, the knot sliped! It has very low memory, great distance for casts, all in all a very good line for the price! If your looking to try out a new line give Shakspere cajun a try, you will not disapointed!"
