"I bought this stock for a replacement for my synthetic stock 300WSM. It has a great fit and a great look. Very comfortable to shoulder. The raised comb is very well cut. This is a good deal in a stock. It fits good enough to be a drop in, but why restock a rifle without bedding properly."

Win Model 70 Coyote... beautiful stock!,

"I was sceptical as to whether or not this stock would fit my bull barrel Winchester Model 70 Coyote .300 WSM. It was such a nice stock and Ive been wanting one for my rifle, I took the chance and purchased it at the bargain cave in Billings, MT...perfect condition. After approximately one hour of sanding (sandpaper wrapped around a 1" dowel) and some very minor rat tail rasp filing near the trigger housing area, some spray laquer, the barrel laid in the stock like a glove; free floating barrel and snug fit in the recoil lug cut out. I couldnt be happier!! I didnt think it took much work at all but hard work doesnt bother some of us....."

"Found the stock to be well worth the money. The fit was good,barrel free floats. found that the thumb hole help relieve recoil. (I shoot 7mm Mag) This was a good choice to further my quest for a more accurate rifle. I have made changes every year to improve the rifle."

"The stock was a simple drop in , no modifications needed . It shoulders perefectly and looks beautiful with my stainless All Weather Ruger 77 MK II . It's great to have the feel of wood again instead of the original synthetic stock and let's face it the thumbhole stock just looks cool . I also like the way it has changed my trigger pull to a mor straight back inline motion , it's much more stable when shooting off-hand . another great product from Cabella's . I would recommend this stock to anyone who wants to dress up their rifle while making it a better shooter ."

"Not enough info.
The stock looks good - very nice finish. But, the ad didn't mention that I would need to purchase a floor plate or state that the stock was for rifles with floor plate (Winchester model 70, 300 WSM), so I have extra expense and hassle to chase down floor plate and install before using the stock.
Would you recommend this product to a friend? Probably."

"I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED THE LOOK OF THE THUMBHOLE STOCKS BUT NEVER HAD ONE UNTIL I BOUGHT A MUZZEL LOADER WITH ONE. I LIKED THE FEEL AND REDUCTION IN RECOIL. SO I ODERED THIS SOCK FOR MY MODEL 70 300 WSM, IT FIT GREAT JUST WAITING TO SHOOT IT. HAD TO DO A SMALL AMOUNT OF SANDING ON BARREL END TO FREE FLOAT BARREL. REAL QUALITY ITEM HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ANY GUN PERSON LIKE MY SELF. JUST PURCHASED A 223 WITH THE SAME STOCK."

"It did not fit right out of the box.Ruger sa magnum, i had to do some inleting myself .With a little patience and a dremel tool . It turned out to be a realy good looking, and fitting stock very pleased with it an myself."

"I love my laminated Rifle stock. Other than shaving a little wood from around the trigger area, the stock fit my Model 70 22-250 perfectly. Very happy with it. Many compliments on the "looks". nice!"

"I have a Rem. 700 syn. 270 that kicked like a mule. I orderd the Boyds thumb hole stock on a Sat. night and it was here on Wed. noon, thank you Cabelas and UPS. The only thing I had to do to make the stock work was to make shims out of a soda can to shim between the stock and the recever so the front scerw would not lock up the bolt. By shiming between the stock and resever the barrel is now free floating and a three shot group at a 100yrds. that can be coverd with a quarter. The recoil is 100% better than with the syn. stock. If your thinking about trying a thumb hole stock try this one"

"Stock was a perfect fit for my Ruger 7 Mag., didn't need to do any modifications for a good fit. Barrel did not touch the stock at any place. Cheek rest lines up perfectly for me to the scope, and thumbhole is a major improvement to original stock. Definetly recommnd this item for anybody wishing to improve accuracy on the user end."

"I ordered this thumbhole stock for a Remington 700 pre 70 243. I have read blogs from people that had to rework the entire stock. Not with the Boyd's stock. All I had to do was take the old one off & replace it with the new one. Just some minor sanding & I was good to go! I liked it so well, I purchased another."

"I could not believe how nice the BOYD"S gunstock is.It arrived quickly .The fit and finish is amazing . The fit on the rifle (Remington 700ADL) was perfect, no sanding or filing necessary , took all of about 15-20 minutes to install. All in all a great deal!"
