"Performed flawlessly after several hundred rounds in one session through my 1911. I had one round fail to fire after being hit by the striker twice after several hundred rounds during a single session in my Taurus PT145.
Overall much better than my last bulk ammo purchase of PMC which fouled the gun much quicker and produced a lot of failure to feed in both guns towards the end of a shooting session.
I noticed other reviews mentioned being rather dirty... I didn't find that to be the case and think the "fingers turning black" is a bit melodramatic. For the price range and availability I would highly recommend this ammo for target shooting."

"This ammo is good plinking ammo and at a decent price. However, it does have a odd, not bad, but odd smell when fired. It also has a louder than I am used to percussion almost like a +P load. No problems with accuracy. The real downsides to the ammo is that it is really dirty and out of 2 boxes of 50, I have had 2 duds. I shoot a Glock 19 and it is the only ammo that I have ever had where I had more than one dud in a bulk purchase. Maybe I just got unlucky with the batch that I bought. You almost need to wear gloves when loading the magazines because it it really dirty. After loading 200 rounds, my index finger and thumb were black. It is not anything that won't wash off but I don't want to take the range time washing my hands."

"Cabelas offered this as a substitute for my backordered 9mm ammo. I accepted since its been hard to come by. I fired 50rds through a Glock 19 with only one miss fire. I inspected it and found it was a good strike on the primer. I reloaded it and it fired the second time. Not ideal but ok for target rounds. I wouldn't carry it as a defensive round due to the miss fire but for range work it was great. Some complain about the packaging. I don't shoot the packaging in the gun so its a moot point to me. Overall I'd recommend this as good economy range ammunition."

"Good ammo for the price. Accurate & shoots reasonably clean in my Glock 36 and M&P 45. Always goes Bang and seems to have a little extra zing. I have fired Fiocchi .45 ACP and it too was made in Hungary and the MFS seems to have the same cartridge finish (made in same factory??). I have yet to try the 9mm although I have 250 rounds ready to go. I would rate this ammo equal to WWB, Remington UMC, Blazer Brass and PMC. Boxes are flimsy but I'm buying ammo, not a box!"

"I decided to fill my Remmington UMC backorder with this stuff since it was in stock and ready for immediate shipment.
When I saw the packaging I knew I was in for an interesting range session. The ammo comes in cheaply packed boxes that are flimsy and easily ripped apart. The bullets look like they have been sprayed with some kind of brass color coating. Not the best finish with over spraying on the tip of the bullets.
This ammo is VERY dirty! My trigger finger was saturated black after 100 rounds. The smoke coming out of the barrel was more than I have ever seen too. Field stripping and cleaning my guns revealed how dirty this ammo truly is... In addition, I had 3 FTF with good strike marks suggesting that the quality is not the best.
The ammo seems to run a little hot and made my g26 and Kahr pm9 a little snapper. As far as accuracy goes, it is somewhat comparable to Winchester and Remmington.
If you can find the brand names for the same price get them for sure. If you are desperate, pick this stuff up if the price is right."

"Just arrived, and very thankful for it. Not as well packed as other bulk ammo in my opinion. But looks like new brass and chambers well. Have yet to get out and shoot. Very pleased with Cabelas customer service in seeking out another manufacturer. Would have prefered to buy an American made product, but can't seem to be too picky these days.
Bullet is brass jacketed. And seems to be a bit longer than SAMMI specs but like I said feeds in my magazines and chambers fine.
Thank you Cabelas for getting me what seems to be a decent practice ammo at a reasonable price!
"New" ammo box with small compartment on top, does not stack with "older" ammo box, but it is still good quality, holds 1200 rounds without signs of fatigue."

"I was pleasantly suprised at the quality of this ammo. The price isn't the greatest, but certainly not the worst. I fed 200 rds through my xd45 and it was flawless and accurate. Unlike the comment before, I found it to shoot pretty clean, in fact it was cleaner than my other xd was after only 50 rds. Both guns were cleaned just before use too. At the same price I will buy this stuff over the filthy winchester anyday. My preference will still go to remington, speer lawman, or federal, but the availability of this stuff is good, and worth the buy. you gotta get what you can get."

"I had no problems with ejecting or failure to fire. My only issue is after 100 rounds it turned my my stainless steel gun black (cleaned a week prior to shooting, no rounds through it previously. It was a new gun) in several areas, this is not the cleanest ammo around. I will only buy this brand again if I'm desperate to hit the range."

"I recently tried the MFS 2000 FMJ 230 grn., .45 ammo. I had no malfuntions of any type, the powder burned clean. The ammo gave a sharp recoil compared to the other factory ammo I was shooting. While I had no data to back this up, this ammo felt like a +p load."

"This is great ammo. I bought 3-boxes thinking what-the-heck, ("never even heard of this stuff,let alone from Hungary,not that I have anything againts Hungary") it might be good might not be,considering how hard it is to get 45 acp ammo you gotta get what you can get. Boy-o-Boy! did my groups improve on my 45 gov. (I was currently shooting Monarch from Acadamy) I went from grapefriut size to golfball size groupings at 15 yds. I went back on tuesday and you guessed it, I bought a lot more ammo. No jambs, missfires, no problems."
