Best Fit Ever, But Read On...,November 16, 2009

"By far, the best fitting wader I have ever worn. These are not Chest Waders, they are High Back Waders, I call them Belly Waders, they come up just over the belly button which is as deep of water as "I" would ever wade in anyway... Excellent fit and mobility, durable, tough wader material, fleece lined, warm boots and the add on front pack is really nice... The Belly High Wader allows your body heat to breath off when you've been working and moving alot, but they provide plenty of warmth in the body and boot...
All that being said, my first set of these the boot leaked at the seam where the neoprene was glued to the bootshaft... I returned them and ordered another pair, still waiting for them to come in, but I have high hopes as I can't find a wader that fits better and is more comfortable to wear than these...
I've tried on every possible wader I can find at all three outdoor superstores in my area and even bought another pair, but ultimately had to go back to these, I'm tempted to buy two pairs for when the first wears out...
Only 4 stars because of the problem with the first pair. Otherwise I would say 5 stars if that boot didn't leak on the first pair."

"I have owned many waders, and these are the best pair yet for a man of my stature and hunting grounds. I live in the heart of the PacNW, where we have somewhat warm early hunting, mostly hunting 40s and 50s, with several weeks of snow and ice throughout the late season.
They are rugged, yet comfortable. I really like the extra protective layer on the outside of the neoprene, which is ideal for the sticks and brambles I usually encounter.
I am 5'8", and slender. Every other pair of waders I have owned rub my ankles horribly, since the legs seem to be built for taller people, and no matter how high I adjusted them, the leg material is too long for my legs. Not these, they actually fit!
I would recommend them for slender to average build people 5'8-6'0.
Two areas of concern:
Due to my height, I set them as short as possible, but have run out of velcro! Luckily, a loop is on the suspender and the wader front, so I have used carabiners in place, and now I am carelessly hiking and hunting like never before, with no rubbing of my groin nor ankles!
The boot seems a bit thin on the sides, and I will write to LaCrosse to recommend a thicker material. Seems like a they might get a hole in the side if I fell or side-stepped into a sharp branch.
Overall, great set of waders! Bring on the foul weather!!!"

"I'm 6'2" and about 250lbs size 12 foot. These waders couldn't of been more off in size. I could barely get them thru my legs. The inseam was pushing 33" and were way too short. These "chest" waders came up slightly above my belly button. Overall the size of the waders don't seem to fit the size of the average size 12. Not sure if any bigger sizes whould of changed things. Never had a chance to use them but overall the product seems to be good. The best part was the pouch which LaCrosse should sell seperately."
