Barnes solids,November 18, 2008
By setterrunfrom Efland NC
"I have use Barnes Solids in 2 calibers; 9.3x62 and .416 Rigby. They have performed flawlessly. In fact the .416 traveled thru the shoulder of an eland and lenfthwise through the 1500lb animal. It exited thru the tail bone and lodged in a tree behind the animal. When I recovered it it had not deformed and had 100% weight retention. Fantastic !!!"

Barnes 3/8th inch Express train.,February 21, 2008
By AFMGfrom Laramie, WY
"After testing Barnes' 300 gr. Banded Solid bullets in my .375 H&H, I'm reminded of why the English gunmakers named their dangerour game cartridges "Express" after the high speed, nonstop, straightline travel of their best trains. This bullet passed the gallon-of-beef-knuckles, pine board and half dozen water filled gallon milk jug tests with impeccable ease. There will be two handloads topped by this Barnes bullet in the bottom of my magazine when I hunt Alaskan brown bear this spring."

Barnes Solids,February 5, 2008
By bucksandducksfrom Dover, DE
"I loaded 20 of these for "fun" shooting in my Rem 700 .416 Rem. It hit within 2" of 350gr Speers and 400gr Hornadys. I loaded max with IMR 4064 and the recoil was stout but manageable. Great bullets. Going to use as backup shots on a hog hunt after initial shot with the Speers. These will definitely stop a boar charge...!!!"

Barnes accuracy,October 26, 2006
By travisfrom Alvin, Texas
"Pretty much all solids have extreme penatration. but not all of them have the accuracy of the barnes. I put five shots into just over an inch at 100 yds out of a pre '64 Model 70 in .416 Remington Mag. And since they are a homogenous solid there is no chance for seperation of the core out of the rear. I shot through a 15 inch diameter oak into a caliches rock mound and all but 1 out of probably 50 I could have realoaded. These are the best solids I have EVER used."
